Oma

Find a nail tech near you, book a time, and pay without worrying.

What Oma does

Oma connects women in Nigeria with nail technicians working near them. You choose a shape and a style, see who is available, pick a time, and pay in the app.

Your payment is held until the appointment actually happens. The technician scans a code at the start of the session, and only then is she paid. If she does not show up, the money comes back to you automatically.

How it works

  1. Scan your nails or pick a shape you like.
  2. Browse technicians nearby, with their prices and their work.
  3. Book a time and pay. The money is held, not released.
  4. At your appointment, she scans your code. She gets paid. You get your nails done.

Why we send text messages

Oma sends SMS only to people who have entered their own phone number in the app. There are two kinds of message, and nothing else:

One-time codes — a six-digit number to confirm the phone belongs to you when you sign in.

Booking notices — a confirmation when an appointment is booked, and a reminder before it starts.

We do not send marketing or promotional messages, we do not buy or sell phone numbers, and we do not message anyone who has not signed up.

Your information

We keep your name, your phone number, and your bookings. Technicians are verified with a government-issued identity check; we store only whether that check passed, never the identity number itself.

Payments are handled by a licensed payment processor. Oma never sees or stores your card details.
